Rental Program

• Rent as long as you like. You may buy your rental instrument at any time.

• Rental fees apply towards purchase.

• If you buy your instrument within the first 90 days of your rental, you will receive a 10% discount on the price of your purchase.

• Pay only one month at signing, not 2 or 3 months like some places require.

• We NEVER charge interest on your rental. Do you realize how much money this saves you when compared to every other store’s high interest rent-to-own plan?

• If your child quits, turn the instrument in and walk away. There are no hidden fees.

• If your child switches instruments during your rental, we will swap your rental to a different instrument at no charge (once only).

• Most repairs on rentals will be completed the same day.

• All instruments are educator approved, and come with a guarantee.

• We have the most technically experienced repair technicians in the Southeastern United States. You can trust Southeastern Musical Services, Inc. for professional repairs and service, guaranteed!

A Few Things You Should Consider:

A good quality instrument gives a student an advantage because the instrument is easier to play and provides better tone. An older instrument that hasn’t been used for years and is dirty or out of adjustment will discourage a beginning student. In the first few challenging months of the learning process, the quality of the instrument is critical to your child’s success.

Your band director will list a few preferred brands. Be aware these are not the only instruments that are acceptable, they are merely a few of the reliable brands available. We promise we will not sell or rent poor quality brands!

We often see parents try to save money by acquiring an instrument on eBay, or in a local pawn shop. This is sometimes a good way to save, IF you know what you are looking at. Looking at a cheapo Import at your local Hardware/Grocery/Garden Center? Do your child, their band director, and us a favor…Don’t Do It!! Why spend your hard earned cash on a piece of junk only to set your child up for failure?

Most often, buying from a local vendor, who offers a guarantee, expert repair service, and who supports your local school band program is a far better option. But, if you happen to find an older instrument, we urge you to bring it to Southeastern Musical Services for a FREE evaluation by one of our professional technicians. We really do want your child to succeed in band!
